Brunch Bliss: My Unforgettably Amazing Experience at Grits and Eggs in Lindberg, Atlanta!
Updated: Jan 14, 2025
Finding the perfect brunch spot can be a delicious quest, and my recent visit to Grits and Eggs in Lindberg, Atlanta, turned out to be a memorable journey filled with incredible flavors and a warm atmosphere. I enjoyed it so much that I went back a second time a week later! Tucked away in a cozy corner of Lindberg, Grits and Eggs embodies the spirit of Southern hospitality. As someone who loves to explore new food spots, I was eager to uncover the hidden gems this restaurant had to offer.
Warm Welcome
Walking into Grits and Eggs, I was instantly greeted by the host, Que, whose friendly demeanor set the tone for my visit. The atmosphere was just right—bustling yet relaxed—for a weekend brunch. I noticed families enjoying hearty meals, couples sharing intimate conversations, and groups of friends laughing over delicious dishes. Settling into my seat, I absorbed the welcoming vibe and glimpsed at the enticing menu.
Menu Highlights
The menu at Grits and Eggs is filled with so many delightful options that choosing just one delicious item was a challenge. I was intrigued by their catfish and grits option. Grits are an easy dish to mess up; they can be too grainy or too soupy. After careful consideration, I went for the fried catfish and grits; and I was not disappointed. My boyfriend got the home fries and fried chicken and honey biscuit sandwich. (The second time I went, I got the fried chicken and honey biscuit sandwich.)
After the meal, (the first time), I noticed the chef in the main dining area, and I had to speak to him and thank him for such a delicious meal. I told him the catfish was cooked to crispy perfection with the right amount of seasoning. And that the grits were just creamy enough and flavorful enough.

Beverage Pairing
A good brunch isn’t complete without the perfect drink. Grits and Eggs has a fantastic selection, including fresh-squeezed orange juice, mimosas, and Costa coffee, a current favorite of mine. I opted for the mocha latte, which was so tasty. Again, the staff went above and beyond. My coffee was not as warm as I wanted and the manager, FA, either heated it up for me or just gave me a fresh HOT one. I was so grateful she took the time to do that because it definitely enhanced my experience.
My boyfriend went with one of the many mimosa options. He got the Oui Kiss Mimosa, a wonderful take on a mimosa. When his drink arrived, the mix of flavors was delightful (because, yes, I tasted it, and I almost got one for myself). The second time I went, I got 2 virgin drinks. I was pleasantly surprised by how many virgin drink options they had. It's not that I don't or can't drink, I just prefer not to because why pay $14 for alcohol? I got the virgin sunrise and a virgin mimosa. I preferred the virgin mimosa!
Service with a Smile
The service throughout my meal was outstanding. Our server, Diara, checked in frequently, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The team’s commitment to providing a fantastic dining experience was evident and truly appreciated!
A Delicious Journey Concludes
From the genuine welcome to the mouthwatering dishes, everything combined to create an exceptional brunch outing. If you find yourself in Atlanta and crave hearty Southern food with a modern touch, Grits and Eggs should be at the top of your list. They have several locations, so it shouldn't be too hard to find one.
My heart was full, my stomach satisfied, and I left with plans to return for more culinary adventures (which I did solo for a self-date a week later). Whether you seek classic dishes or something a bit different, Grits and Eggs has something to please every palate. So gather your friends or family and embark on a brunch experience that may just become your new favorite tradition!
Stay Peachy!
