Nestled between Atlanta's trendy Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park neighborhoods, Just Add Honey Tea Company offers a welcome spot to relax for BeltLine strollers and tea enthusiasts alike. This charming tea room isn't your average grab-and-go shop. It's a cozy haven designed for slowing down, sipping thoughtfully blended loose-leaf teas, and indulging in a moment of relaxation.

I had the pleasure of visiting this Black-owned business with my lady friends! I am part of a group that my friend started called Beautiful Boss Queens. This group is for female entrepreneurs, and we gather together in person and online monthly to catch up, cheer each other on, support one another, and offer advice and resources that can help all of us in life, love, parenthood, and as small business owners.

We make it a habit to visit women-owned, Black-owned, and minority-owned (to name a few) places as often as possible to support business owners like us. And this month, we went to Just Add Honey. The main factor was it being Black-owned. The other factor was free parking!

As you step inside Just Add Honey, you're greeted by a sense of tranquility. It's peacefully quiet and still. The atmosphere is modern yet inviting, with shelves overflowing with colorful tins of loose-leaf teas. There are two small rooms, one to the right as you walk in that is full of tea accessories to elevate your home brewing experience, such as teapots, strainers, and infusers, making it the perfect place to pick up a special gift for the tea lover in your life. The other room, as you walk straight to the back of the small house, has two high tables with about six chairs on each table. It's the perfect spot for a daytime date or a daddy-daughter tea party. There is also outdoor seating available, and we enjoyed our time sitting outside in the covered patio area next to the outdoor flower wall, which was perfect for a photo op. There are four other outdoor tables with umbrellas available for guests with dogs or those who want to enjoy the weather while sipping on their delicious beverages.

No tea experience is complete without a sweet treat. Just Add Honey complements their tea selection with delectable treats. When we went, they had an assortment of small bundt cakes and a sharable three-tier platter. They also offered plain croissants, yogurt parfaits, and chicken salad sandwiches on a croissant. I opted for the sandwich, and it was delicious! The croissant was warm and flakey. For any coffee drinkers reading this, they also serve hot and iced coffee. I paired my sandwich with a 12-ounce decaf hot latte with a caramel shot of syrup. The small coffee was a bit more expensive than Starbucks at $7 for the 12 ounces, and the taste was the same to me. The sandwich was comparable to Chicken Salad Chick. Just Add Honey's sandwich was $8.50 for the sandwich only, while Chicken Salad Chick's sandwich meals come with chips and a drink and cost around $11.

Overall, I would go back again, and I enjoyed my visit. I will definitely make sure to get a cup of tea from this tea house as I have started dabbling into the tea game. I am not a loose-leaf drinker just yet, but I hope to get there one day. If you find yourself in Atlanta, take a trip to Just Add Honey. Whether you're stopping by the tea bar for a refreshing iced tea on a hot summer day while walking the BeltLine or ordering a selection of teas online to enjoy at home, Just Add Honey offers a delightful experience.

What are some other tea spots I should check out next as I venture to be a tea drinker?

Until next time,

Stay peachy!
